Frequently Asked Questions
The Cydem VT system supports the shaken cultivation of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells.
The Cydem VT system allows for a pH-controlled fed-batch cultivation for 96 clones, with well-specific gassing control for pH (CO2) and dissolved oxygen (DO) control. The liquid handler can add liquid base for additional pH control.
The Cydem VT Automated Cell Culture System can screen up to 96 clones in parallel shaken 5 mL microtiter plate format.
The Cydem VT system uses Valita Titer Assay technology and can quantify all Fc-containing molecules (e.g., IgG-based antibodies IgG 1, 2, 3, and 4 subclasses, standard, bispecific, fusion protein formats, etc.).
You can find all technical documentation here.
The working volume is in a range of 3-5 mL.
The system provides regular on-deck measurements of pH and dissolved oxygen (DO) values, monoclonal antibody (mAb) titer, and cell count and viability.
